Sora Takeuchi

I stumbled across this image in my search for reference images for my own Takeuchi Sora cosplay, and I wanted to log in and say that the cosplay is very well done down to the bandages around his (her) arms and everything. I hope it's not too forward, or too much of a problem if I asked for a few tips on making the hat? I've been having trouble finding a pattern or altering patterns and I'm debuting the costume at the end of the week and since I am a beginner with the sewing machine it makes it that much more difficult. xD; Again, I hope it's not too forward and I apologize in advanced if it is.
